Hey there!
Another In&Out post, this time about two eye contour products: the first is a serum by Christian Dior that I have almost finished and the second is an eye cream by Caudalie.
1. Christian Dior Capture Total Eyes Essential Serum.
1. Christian Dior Capture Total Eyes Essential Serum.
Although it's clearly written on the jar that this product is a serum for the eye area, the Sephora counter woman assured me that it was used as an eye cream, there was no need to apply any other cream later.
It has a very light gel texture, is applied and absorbed easily and its perfume is floral but very subtle. Contains 15 ml and costs around 70 €.
Well, once again, a counter lady is totally wrong. After applying this product without any other eye contour cream for a month , I came to the conclusion that like most serums, this is formulated to complete a specific function, in this case to improve the appearance of fine lines and dark circles, and in my case, this product alone just does not work .
So cursing myself for not following my own impressions , I went to my pharmacy andhad to buy product number 2 product, which seems to have come to my bath stash to stay.
Contiene 15ml y cuesta unos 50€.
2.Caudalie Premier Cru cream for the eye area .
Total anti-aging cream for the eye area. Formulated to moisturize, reduce dark circles and puffiness and to brighten this area.
Contains grape polyphenols to prevent future damages, resveratrol to rejuvenate skin, and grape viniferine and pearlised particles to brighten the area. Does not contain parabens , mineral oils, or phenoxyethanol and Caudalie does not test on animals.
I like this cream because at this time of year I feel my eye contour drier than ever, and this cream really moisturizes it. It has a rich velvet creamy texture , yet my skin absorbs it quickly, I like dense eye creams just like this one.
It has a very light scent and after applying it, the pearlised particles brighten the are, although in my case, I still have to use an eye concealer. Contains 15ml and costs about 50€.
So what is my eye care routine then? First I apply the serum by Christian Dior, is absorbed immediately and then I pat the cream by Caudalie. Applied this way , the serum works great, although I admit I probably won't buy it again, right now I think Caudalie eye cream is enough for my eye contour.
