Autumn Suggestions. Sugerencias otonales.

Ahora sí, por fin, parece que el otoño ha llegado para quedarse. Me encanta el otoño, de hecho es una de mis estaciones favoritas, así es que tras ver el post de Mac&Dreams (un blog que os recomiendo si no lo conocéis), decidí seguir la cadena y enseñaros algunas de mis sugerencias otoñales. Si hay alguna que os interesa en particular, decídmelo y haré una review más completa. Vamos a verlos:

So it seems that autumn is here to stay. Finally! I love Autumn, it's actually one of my favorite seasons, so after reading this post by Mac & Dreams (a blog I highly recommend), I decided to follow the chain and show you some of my Autumn suggestions. If you are particularly interestd on any of them, let me know and I'll write a more complete review. Here they are.

Esmaltes.

Muchos de mis esmaltes favoritos son de DIOR, me parece que tienen un colorido increíble, de los mejores junto a OPI, Chanel y Essie. Los que hoy he seleccionado son:

1.- Dior Purple Mix.

2.- Black Plum.

3.- Bengale.

Nail Polish.

 DIOR polishes are between my all time favourites, amazing shades, the best ones for me along with OPI, Chanel and Essie. Today's choice:

1. - Dior Purple Mix.

2. - Dior Black Plum.

3. - Dior Bengale.

Sombras y colorete.

He elegido dos de NARS. La paleta os la enseñé AQUI, y me encanta sobretodo para hacer ahumados y looks de noche, y el colorete es uno de mis favoritos cuando tras el verano vuelvo a mi tono original (NC 20), el Dolce Vita; es un tono vino con destellos muy muy sutiles y subtono marrón-rojizo, y como todos los coloretes de NARS tiene una textura increíble. Lo necesitáis.

Eye Shadows and Blush.

I have chosen two by NARS. I reviewed the pallette HERE, and I love it for smokey eyes especially for evening looks. The blush is one of my favorites for Autumn - Winter,  when I return to my original skin tone (NC 20). Dolce Vita, is a wine shade with a reddish brown undertone, and like all NARS blushes, it has an incredible texture. You need it.

Lápices y pintalabios.

1.- Mac Coffee eyeliner. El famoso lápiz para ojos de MAC.

2.- MUFE Aquashadow 2E. Sombra cremosa en lápiz que se extiende con mucha facilidad.

3.- Bobbi Brown Violet Plum. Os hablé sobre él AQUI.

4.- Anna Sui lápiz de labios 206. Color borgoña oscuro perfecto para estas fechas. El envase es tan bonito que me da pena usar la barra de labios...!

Eye Pencils and lipstick.

1. - Mac Coffee eyeliner. The famous MAC eye pencil.

2. - MUFE Aquashadow 2E. Shadow creamy pencil very easy to blend.

4. - Anna Sui lipstick 206. A perfect dark burgundy shade for Autumn. The packaging is so gorgeous that I don't want to use the lipstick up ...!

SISLEY Transparent Face Loose Powder. Polvos sueltos transparentes de SISLEY.

Ya os he comentado varias veces en entradas anteriores que Sisley es una marca que me gusta mucho, trabaja con el concepto de Fitocosmetología, que implica el uso de extractos naturales de plantas en sus productos. Es cierto que es una marca cara, pero hasta ahora todo lo que he probado de esta firma me ha encantado, así es que cuando terminé mi segundo envase de los polvos sueltos Primed and Poreless de Too Faced, decidí probar otros, no sé por qué, pero a la hora de comprar cosmética me gusta mucho variar y probar cosas nuevas. 

Hoy os traigo mi última adquisición (con descuento del 20% en Douglas, suelo aprovecharlos), sus Polvos transparentes con extracto de caléndula.

I've mentioned several times in previous posts that Sisley is a brand  I really love, with their Phytocosmetology concept , which involves using natural plant extracts in their beauty products. It is also true nevertheless, that it is an expensive brand , but  everything I've tried from them so far has worked great on my skin , so when I emptied my second pot of Too Faced Primed and Poreless loose powder, I decided to try another brand, so Sisley was my first choice. 

Here's my review.

El producto.

Polvos transparentes muy finos que no aportan nada color ( mi tono es el 1 mate), y sirven para fijar el maquillaje, dejando la piel con un acabado mate y sedoso. Contienen caléndula, planta que suele utilizar para suavizar y cicatrizar la piel.

Yo los he aplicado por la mañana, tras la base de maquillaje (he usado la F&B de MUFE), y tengo que deciros que lo sellan perfectamente, no he tenido que realizar retoques ni me han salido brillos hasta las 6 horas. Tienen un perfume muy ligero y agradable como a plantas, que no resulta desagradable ni dura en la piel tras su aplicación.
Su acabado es mate pero sin llegar a saturar ni secar la piel, al contrario, su resultado en la piel es aterciopelado pero no acartonado, deja una apariencia saludable, natural, muy bonita.

Se presentan en un tarro de 17 gramos ( los Primed and Poreless tienen 4,5 para que os hagáis una idea), con una borla super suave; sin embargo, yo los suelo aplicar con brocha y únicamente en la zona T, para evitar eliminar el acabado natural de la base F&B.


The product.

Transparent and sliky loose powder perfect to fix  makeup , leaving yourskin with a healthy matte finish . Contains calendula often used to soften soothe skin.
I have applied them in the morning , after my foundation (I'm using MUFE F & B at the moment) , and I have to tell you that they set my foundation sooo well, and their staying power is amazing. Over 6 hours without retouching.
 They have a very light and pleasant scent like plants, which is not strong and disappears after application.
The finish is light and matte without overloading my skin, the final result is a healthy, natural and radiant look.

They come in a 17 grams pot (  Primed and Poreless pot has 4.5g. to give you an idea), I usually apply them with a wide powder brush and only in the T-zone, because I like the final look of MUFE F&B on the rest of my face.

Mi opinión.

Han pasado ser mis polvos favoritos, los encuentro súper favorecedores y muy prácticos; el no tener que andar con retoques nos supone un mundo a la gente con piel mixta/grasa. Hasta ahora son de lejos los polvos más suaves con la piel que he probado, por lo que me parecen perfectos también para pieles sensibles.

Aún no he probado cómo quedan en fotografía, porque muchos polvos de estas características blanquean bajo la luz de flash, en cuanto lo pruebe actualizo la entrada y os comento.

Lo único que resulta negativo como siempre en esta marca es su precio: alrededor de los 40-50€, pero tened en cuenta que traen más de ¡el triple! de cantidad que otros como los anteriormente mencionados primed and poreless.

En definitiva, unos polvos con resultado muy bueno recomendados especialmente para pieles sensibles, mixtas o grasas.


My opinion.

This is the best powder I've ever come across , I find them super flattering and very practical ,perfect for people with  combination  or oily skin. They are really gentle too, so I believe they are perfect for sensitive skin too.
I don't know how they look in photography with flash, but as soon as I try them on that light I'll update this entry to let you know.
The only thing that is negative as usual on this brand is its price: about 40-50 €, but keep in mind they have three times the amount of some other loose powder like Primed and Preless by Too Faced. 

In short , a powder with very good final result, specially recommended for sensitive, combination or oily skyn types.

My Skin saver/ My salvavidas: Effaclar Duo.

La crema Effaclar duo de La Roche Posay es una de las cremas con mejores opiniones de la blogosfera, es una crema anti-acné, que purifica los poros, y os voy a contar por qué tiene tan buenas críticas.

La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo is one of the most reviewed anti-imperfection crams in the blogosphere, it  is a day care cream that treats both imperfections on the skin's surface and helps prevent blocked pores.

El producto.
Es un gel crema blanquecino muy ligero que sirve para eliminar las imperfecciones de la piel, tanto las imperfecciones severas localizadas, como los poros obstruidos con sebo.

Entre sus ingredientes destacan la Niacinamida y la Piroctonaolamina para evitar la proliferación bacterial, y el  LHA y el Ácido Linoleico, que sirven para eliminar las células muertas que obstruyen los poros. Contiene también el famoso agua termal de la Roche-Posay para calmar la piel y reducir las rojeces. No contiene parabenes.

Se presenta en un práctico tubo de 40 ml y su precio es de 15-19€.

The product .
It is a very light white cream gel that helps eliminate skin imperfections.
Among its ingredients include the Niacinimide and Piroctone Olamine to prevent bacterial proliferation , and the LHA and Linoleic Acid , which serve to remove dead skin cells that clog pores . It also contains the famous thermal water by La Roche- Posay to soothe skin and reduce redness . It contains no parabens .

It comes in a handy 40ml tube and it is about €15-19 .

Mi opinión.
Como os indico en el título, este producto me ha salvado la vida. No es que sea una persona con acné severo, ni con brotes muy frecuentes,  mi piel es mixta sin demasiados problemas, pero todas sabemos lo incómodo que es que en los días previos a una cita, evento, ocasión, etc nos salga el típico grano que nos espanta. Pues bien, este producto es increíble con las imperfecciones severas y con esos granos también.

Yo lo aplico cuando noto que me va a salir algún granito en una zona concreta y lo extiendo sobre todo el área (barbilla, mandíbula, etc),  normalmente lo hago por la noche,  tras la limpieza y el tónico y antes de mi tratamiento habitual (sérum, mascarilla o lo que toque ese día). Se absorbe muy rápidamente y no deja ninguna sensación de piel tirante como otras cremas de este tipo. En ocasiones lo aplico también por la mañana, depende de cómo sienta mi piel o de si el brote es más o menos severo. Al día siguiente o tras dos días, el grano desaparece o su tamaño se reduce notablemente.

Hay mucha gente que lo utiliza solo, sin hidratante después, porque es cierto que deja la piel suave, pero definitivamente este no es mi caso, para mí funciona como crema anti-acné en zonas localizadas y para brotes concretos.


My opinion .
As I previously mentioned, this product has saved my life. I have combination skin, and not that I have a severe acne problem, or  very frequent breakouts, but I sometimes get those hormonal breakouts we all know about . Well, this product is amazing with severe imperfections and with those breakouts too.

I apply it when I feel I'm going to have a breakout in a particular area and tap it over the whole area ( chin , jaw, etc. ), I usually do it at night, after cleansing and toning and before my regular treatment ( serum , mask or whatever planned for that night) and it absorbs very quickly leaving no dry feeling on my skin, as some other similar treatments do. I sometimes  use it in the morning too, depending on how my skin is feeling or how severe the breakout is. The next day, the pimple  disappears or its size is really reduced.

Some people use it alone without moisturizer and it really leaves your skin very soft , but definitely this is not my case, for me it works as an anti -acne cream in localized areas and for specific breakouts .

¿Lo volvería a comprar? Sí. Siempre hay un bote en mi neceser de emergencia. Si no lo habéis probado, definitivamente os lo recomiendo.

Repurchase? Yes.  I've always got one of this tubes in my bathroom stash! if you haven't tried it yet, I think you'll have to!

Empties 4. Acabados 4.

Septiembre otra vez, con su vuelta al cole y su cambio en las rutinas, también en las de cosmética; os dejo aquí los productos que he acabado en las últimas semanas y lo que me han parecido.

September is here again, back to school time and a change in routines and cosmetics! I show you  here the products I've finished up in the last few weeks.


1.- Kerástase Soleil masque UV defense active.
Esta mascarilla solar para el pelo me ha salvado la vida este verano. Textura en gel súperagradable, olor muy fresco, y lo mejor es que funciona. Refuerza el cabello frente a las agresiones de verano: sal, sol, cloro, etc. La he usado a diario cuando estaba en la playa, y he notado el pelo mucho más suave que otros veranos. Lo único que no me gusta es su precio: unos 30€.

¿La volvería a comprar? El próximo verano, probablemente.

1. - Kerastase Soleil UV masque active defense .
This hair mask has been my life saver this summer. Super nice gel texture, fresh smell, and the best thing is that it work. Strengthens my hair against summer agressions: salt , sun , chlorine , etc. I've used it every day at the beach, and I've noticed my hair much softer than last summer. The only con is its price: about 30€.

Will I repurchase? Next summer, probably.

2.- Too Faced Shadow Insurance.
Poco queda por decir de esta prebase de sombras. Se aplica sobre el párpado, se extiende con facilidad y hace que las sombras duren una eternidad. Al principio me costaba extender las sombras tras aplicarlo, pero enseguida me acostumbré, y ahora la prebase forma parte de mi rutina diaria.

¿La volvería a comprar? Ahora mismo estoy con la prebase de NARS, pero no lo descarto.

2. - Too Faced Shadow Insurance.
Not much left to say about this eye shadow primer. Blends nicely and my eye shadows look flawless for hours and hours. I found it hard to blend the eyeshadows at first, but then I got used to it, and now this primer is a part of my daily make up routine .

Will I repurchase? I'm using Nars primer right now, but I liked this one too .

3.- Gel de ducha Ginger Sparkle de TBS.
A pesar de que es una edición de navidad, este gel es de mis favoritos para todo el año. En diciembre compro varios botes que apuro hasta el final en los meses posteriores. Limpia con suavidad, y tiene un olor a jengibre al que no puedo resistirme. No contiene jabón y deja sobre la piel un brillo muy ligero.

¿Lo compraría otra vez? Seguro.

3. - TBS. Ginger Sparkle Shower Gel.
Although it is a Christmas limited edition, this shower gel is one of my favorites through the year . In December I buy several bottles of this gel, to use them throughout the year. It's a very gentle gel and has a wonderful ginger smell that I love. It is soap-free and leaves a very light sheen on my skin, perfect for Christmas. Or summer!

Will I repurchase? I will.

4.- Biotherm Blue Therapy crema pieles normales y mixtas.
Crema hidratante para los primeros signos de la edad, con concentrado de algas y SPF 15; tiene un olor fresco muy agradable. El tarro que veis en la foto fue una muestra de 15ml, que me valió para decidir que esta crema definitivamente no es para mi. Es demasiado densa y no se extiende con facilidad, por lo que tenía que esperar un rato antes de aplicar el siguiente producto, y yo por la mañana tengo mucha (mucha) prisa. Por otra parte, no he notado ninguno de los beneficios que se supone aportaría a mi piel.

¿Lo compraría? No.

4. - Biotherm Blue Therapy normal to combination skin cream.
Moisturizing cream against the first signs of aging, with algae concentrate and SPF 15. It has a very nice fresh scent which I like. This jar was a deluxe 15ml sample, and it was enough for me to decide that this cream is definitely not for me. It is too thick and feels really greasy, so I had to wait for a while before applying the next product, and I in the morning I just don't have that time.

Will I repurchase? I won't.

5.- Clarins Lift-Fermeté.
Crema corporal reafirmante, que afina, reafirma y da elasticidad a la piel. Me encantan los productos corporales de Clarins, creo que les he probado todos, y ésta es una de mis cremas corporales favoritas. Textura densa pero que se extiende y se absorbe con mucha suavidad y resulta muy agradable en la piel. Sólo tiene una pega, su precio. Dependiendo de dónde la compréis puede oscilar entre 40-50€.

¿Repetiré? Sí.

5. - Clarins Lift - Fermeté .
 Body Firming Cream that  refines, tightens and fights against the loss of elasticity. I love Clarins body products, I think I have tried them all, and this is one of my favorite body lotions. Beautiful texture that melts easily, smells great and it is not greasy at all. Only one con, its price. Depending on where you buy it may cost from 40-50 € .

Will I repurchase? Yes.

Darphin Dermabrasion exfoliant. Dermoabrasion exfoliante de Darphin.

Soy un poco particular a la hora de elegir exfoliante. Suelo elegir exfoliantes químicos, o exfoliantes físicos pero con los gránulos gruesos, no me gustan los exfoliantes que tienen gránulos demasiado pequeños, suelen resultarme agresivos. Hasta que probé este tratamiento de Darphin. Es algo más que un exfoliante, promete reducir las pequeñas líneas, las manchas en la piel,  la apariencia de los poros y aportar luminosidad eliminando células muertas en profundidad.

I'm a bit picky about scrubs and dermabrasion product. I usually choose chemical exfoliants, or physical exfoliants but with big soft grits, I don't like too fine grits, I feel them aggressive on my skin. Until I tried this treatment by  Darphin . It's more than a scrub, it clains to reduce fine lines, dark spots, to brighten up the skin appearance and to refine skin texture.

Según el creador de la marca "Darphin es una marca parisina, botánica y profesional de tratamiento para la piel basada en una mezcla armoniosa de plantas y aceites esenciales puros". A mí personalmente es una marca que me inspira mucha confianza, hasta ahora no me ha decepcionado ninguno de sus productos.

According to the creator of the brand "Darphin is a professional botanical Parisian skincare line based on a harmonious blend of plants and pure essential oils." I personally find this brand really reliable, I've loved every Darphin product I've tried.

EL PRODUCTO.
Este tratamiento de dermoabrasión de Darphin es una crema con un 88% de ingredientes naturales y sin parabenos. Entre sus componentes destacan el polvo de sílice, jojoba, partículas de polvo de perlas, polvo de lava y fosfato de manosa de sodio (procedente del azúcar de maíz).

Actúa de tres maneras; el polvo de perlas y el polvo de lava exfolian en profundidad y alisan las arrugas; el polvo de sílice y la jojoba actúan sobre la piel facilitando su uniformidad, y el fosfato de manosa de sodio oxigena la piel y estimula la renovación celular.

THE PRODUCT.
This Darphin dermabrasion treatment contains 88 % natural ingredients and no parabens.  Contains Jojoba Esters, Silica, Pearl and Lava Powders, Bisabolol, Sodium Mannose Phosphate, Genitan Extracts.

It works in three ways , the pearl powder and lava powder exfoliate and smooth wrinkles, silica powder and  jojoba evens the skin tone, and sodium mannose phosphate oxygenates the skin and stimulates cell renewal.

MI OPINIÓN.
Ya os he comentado que no estoy acostumbrada a exfoliantes o tratamientos de dermoabrasión de este tipo, con grano fino, sin embargo, este producto me ha gustado. Tiene unos microgránulos muy muy finos, pero es un producto cremoso, lo que hace que se extienda con facilidad y no resulte agresivo. No hace falta extender mucha cantidad, con muy poca cantidad se consigue exfoliar toda la cara. Me encanta su olor suave, floral, pero no muy intenso.

MY OPINION .
I told you I'm not used to this type of scrubs with fine grit, however, I liked this product. It has very fine grit, not sharp,  but it is also a creamy product, which makes it more gentle and not aggressive. A little bit goes a long way. I love its sweet, floral, light smell.

Lo extiendo sobre la piel húmeda, y con las manos húmedas también; si lo aplicamos en seco, la exfoliación será mayor, pero a mí me irrita la piel. Lo aplico suavemente, con movimientos circulares, insistiendo en las zonas con manchas o poros de mayor tamaño. Lo retiro con agua templada, y continúo con mi rutina habitual. Suelo aplicarlo una o dos veces por semana.

I apply it on damp skin, because if applied on dry skin, the exfoliation will be higher, but it may irritate your face. I massage it in an upward circular motion, insisting on spots or areas where my larger pores are (nose mainly), rinse it with warm water, and continue with my everyday routine. I use it once or twice a week.

¿El resultado? Noto la piel más suave, luminosa y fresca. El tono de la piel se iguala, y su textura también. Tras su uso durante unas semanas, puedo deciros que es un producto fabuloso, tenéis que probarlo.

Está recomendado para todo tipo de piel, y para que lo probéis, a la primera persona que deje un comentario en esta entrada diciendo que quiere probar este producto de Darphin, le enviaré a su casita (o a donde quiera, vaya...) un tarro de esta dermoabrasión de 15ml, como el de las fotos.

The results are wonderful. My skin looks fine, smooth, soft and clear.  After using it for a few weeks , I can say it is a great product , you really need to try it. Recommended for all skin types, I think it would suit oily-combination skins better.

Too Faced: Natural Face Palette.

Vale, sí lo reconozco. Soy adicta a las paletas. No sé ni las que tengo ya y no siempre uso todo lo que viene en ellas, pero ¡son tan bonitas! Así es que aquí me tenéis haciendo otra review de otra paleta. Esta vez para la cara: "Natural Face" de Too Faced.

Okay, I have to admit it. I'm a palette adict. I don't know how many I own and I don't use  all of them! So here I am reviewing another palette. This time is: "Natural Face" by Too Faced .

EL PRODUCTO.
Como las otras paletas de Too faced, viene en una cajita de cartón rígido con espejo en su interior. Me gusta este formato, apenas pesa y resulta muy manejable, genial para llevar de viaje. En el interior vienen unos "face chart", con indicaciones sobre cómo aplicar cada uno de los productos que contiene, que son:

1.  Polvos bronceadores de 8 gramos.
2. Colorete en crema de 2,6 gramos.
3. Colorete en polvo de 3 gramos.
4. Corrector de 1,5 gramos.
5. Iluminador de 1,65 gramos.
6. corrector/iluminador de 1,5 gramos.

THE PRODUCT.
Just like the rest of Too faced palettes, this one features a lovely cardboard packaging,  with a cute mirror inside. I like this packaging, find it very handy, great for my purse. Inside the palette there are are 3  "face chart" , with instructions on how to apply each of the products, which are:

1.  Bronzing Powder 8 grams .
2. Cream blush 2.6 grams .
3. Powder blush  3g.
4. Concealer 1.5 grams  .
5. Luminizer 1.65 grams .
6. Brightener 1.5 grams .

MI OPINIÓN.
Llevo unas semanas probando el producto, y mi opinión en general es buena. Es una paleta para pieles claras, yo soy NC20 en invierno y NC30/NC 35 en verano y no la recomendaría para pieles más oscuras que un NC 35, porque apenas se notaría. Son tonos muy naturales, muy sutiles y claros, por lo que es perfecta para pieles como os digo claritas.

Los polvos bronceadores tienen una textura muy suave, no son nada tizosos y tienen un brillo muy sutil que da un aspecto muy saludable a la cara. El color no es nada naranja ni artificial, sientan realmente bien.

El colorete en crema es un tono melocotón que se extiende con mucha facilidad y pigmenta bien. Me gusta utilizar primero el colorete en crema y sobre éste el colorete en polvo, de una tonalidad parecida, pero con shimmer, ya que combinados, la duración de ambos es mucho mayor (unas 6h sin retoques).

Los correctores los he utilizado para cubrir pequeñas imperfecciones, dependiendo de la zona se puede utilizar un tono u otro. En la zona de la ojera no me ha gustado el resultado, son muy cremosos y se cuartean aunque los selle con polvos, así es que para esta zona lo descarto, pero ya os digo que para las demás zonas (aletas de la nariz, granitos, etc), me han venido muy bien, son suaves, cremosos y se extienden con facilidad.

El iluminador es lo único de la paleta que no me gusta. Tiene un olor como a plástico muy desagradable, apenas pigmenta, y la verdad es que iluminar, no ilumina. Deja una capa de brillo extraño donde lo apliques que no resulta nada favorecedora.

MY OPINION .
 I've been testing it for some weeks now, and my overall opinion is quite good . It's a palette suitable for fair skin , I am NC20 in winter and NC30/NC35 in summer, and I would not recommend it for darker skin tones . They are very natural shades, really subtle and light.

The bronzing powder has a very soft texture,  really good pigmentation and gives you a natural subtle sheen. It's not orange when applied and the final result is very healthy.

The cream blush is a nicely pigmented peach tone than blends very well on your skin. I like to use first the cream blush and  the powder blush on top of it , because the shade is very similar but it's got a bit of shimmer, and this wat they last longer (about 6h ) .

 I've used the concealer and the brightener to cover small imperfections, depending on the area you can use one or the other, the shades are different. I don't like using them on the undereye area, they are very creamy and they crease a lot , so  I use them on other areas (nostrils, small breakouts, etc. ), they work great this way, because they are soft , creamy and blend easily .

The luminizer is the only product on the palette I do not like. It smells like plastic, it's barely pigmented, and the truth is that it does not illuminates at all. Leaves a strange shine when applied and it is not flattering at all .

En resumen, una paleta muy práctica para tonos de piel claros, con un diseño muy bueno y unos productos que en general ofrecen buenos resultados. ¿Es necesaria? Si no eres una adicta a las paletas como yo, no.

Nota final: 8.

In short, a good palette for light/medium skin tones, with a very cute packaging and products that generally offer good results. Is it necessary? If you are not addicted to the palettes as I  am, it is not.

Final mark: 8.
